THE PATH OF TRUTH

Everyone has to possess in essence:

1. DISCIPLINE SENSES AND ORGANS:

  1. Listen to musical rhythm and prayers, and Keep out harmful words entering ears.
  2. Keep out the impure and embrace the wholly.
  3. Avoid crude perception
  4. Seek not taste of the tongue
  5. Wish not fragrance
  6. Speak kind words
  7. Express virtuous truth
  8. Prevent pain to lives by tactful means
  9. Visit abodes of the Sacred Great
  10. Habituate wholly places and saintly sites; aid lives to thrive
  11. Patronize good causes by self efforts
  12. Moderate food intake
  13. Contain urge for pleasures
  14. Regulate timely excretion of body wastes, toxins
  15. Overcome adverse effects of seasons and heat energy
  16. By herbals, minerals, physical exercises and meditation
  17. Do not misuse sperm
  18. Prevent wasteful excretion of sperm
  19. Cover genitals
  20. Cover peak of head, breast etc.
  21. Use foot wear while walking outside
  22. Wear clean dress 

2. DISCIPLINE THOUGHTS AND ACTIVITIES; 

  1. Concentrate and stabilize mind at the center of eye-brows (forehead)
  2. Detest and distance evil thoughts form mind
  3. Be not inquisitive or probe others faults and misdeeds
  4. Do not pride or seek self
  5. Banish bad artificial trends and blend with natural content
  6. Be not ireful on others
  7. Control and condemn codes or norms antagonistic to self discipline 

3. DISCIPLINE OF LIFE: 

Banish discrimination and take in equanimity - all differences in gender,

Caste, religion, cults, clans, spiritual edicts, ethnical and national traits;

Status, higher or lower possessions etc and treat all humanity equally.

 4. DISCIPLINE OF INNER SELF: 

Be it an elephant or an ant in body size, its inner-self is abode of the

Almighty, which is the force residing and managing, omni-preset, all-pervasive

and equi-anymus. One who realizes this attains the four major strengths of

Self-awareness, eternal knowledge, basics of philosophy and state of eternity

in realization of the Supreme.    

      In addition, be your own self, relish without avarice, renounce and meditate, Be holy, mercy other lives, adhere to higher values, sub serve and sing, devote to the Divine, and adhere to all such other good activities by repeated prolonged efforts and practices.

 

      VaLLalaar preached to his disciples the aforesaid paths of discipline in

Thiruvarutpaa (Poetry on Divine Grace).
