SWINE FLU
Any disease is due to co-working of two types of causes - Internal and
external. Recognizing, controlling / modifying external cause[s] is
often tedious.
The internal factors are Hereditary influences, Past illnesses and
Emotional status. These, together with external cause[s], including
environmental factors, let a person come down with sickness. One such
type of sickness is infective illness.
In cases of infective illnesses [ like the recent swine flu ], the
immunity of the person plays a vital role. The immunity is basically
either specific [ against one particular infection or one seasonal
infection ] or General [ against almost all sorts of infection , and
of all seasons ].
The former is often needed in epidemics and the latter, to raise the
general health of every individual, so that he / she is protected
against the relapse and from other illnesses. Homoeopathy helps in
both situations.
The most common symptoms of raging swine flu is known and the focus
here is on the prevention and treatment.
For Prevention and When the symptom complex of Fever, Thirstlessness,
Body ache, Tiredness, Headache predominate : GELSEMIUM 30
If the symptoms include high fever, chills, sore throat, cough,
diarrhoea / vomiting : ARS ALB 30
When the response to the treatment is partial: STREPTOCOCCINUM 1m [
IF THROAT AND RESPIRATORY SYMPTOMS ARE NOT REDUCING]
Or INFLUENZINUM 1m [ IF BODY ACHE, TIREDNESS etc ARE NOT REDUCING ]
DOSAGE:
Prevention:
All age groups: Dissolve one 30 size pill, of GELSEMIUM 30, in 200
ml of drinking water. [ adding one pill is enough. The medicines
acts much faster, when dissolved in water ] . Take one spoonful only,
every morning, for one week. The same solution can be used for all
the family members.
Treatment:
According to the symptom group mentioned earlier, the patient may take
either GELSEMIUM 30 OR ARS ALB 30. The medicine to be taken, till
complete recovery.
Infants & Children [ up to age 15 ] As above. The dose may be
increased to twice , thrice or four times in a day, depending on the
severity of the complaint.
For more than 15 years of age, the dose is 2-3 spoonfuls, for each dose.
Purchase of the medicine:
These medicines can be purchased from Homoeopathic medical stores.
The order shall placed in the following manner.
GELSEMIUM 30 , 2 DRAM PILLS
ARS ALB 30, 2 DRAM PILLS
STREPTOCOCCINUM 1M, 2 DRAM PILLS.
INFLUENZINUM 1M, 2 DRAM PILLS.
Each medicine will cost from about 15 to 30 rupees., [depending on the
city / town.]
Special situations:
Old age, Pregnancy / Lactation, , Co-existing diseases like diabetes
and treatment is NOT a contra indication for this treatment.
Diet, Regimen, Occupation:
The diet and drink desired / palatable and well tolerated is permitted
and there need not be a drastic change in this.
Personal and surround cleanliness to be taken care of.
Attending to one's routine work is allowed, provided the person's
stamina permit so.
Further consultations:
After recovery, or if there is no improvement, it is mandatory for the
individual to consult the nearby homoeopath. It is always recommended
that the person should take ONLY ONE HOMOEOPATHIC MEDICINE AT A TIME.
