Bable of our tender ones is sweeter than the melodies

of the flute and the yaazh

(a la guitar) ThirukkuRaL 66

Sound of the letter 'zha' is exclusively special to Thamizh language and traditions. Thisestablishes flute (

kuzhal) and guitar/violin (yaazh) are of Thamizh origin.

Poet Bharathi praised children as 'the repository of wealth'. Bable is the first oflanguages and a song a day arises from its sweet voices.

Knowledgable children are real wealth of a family. Other wealths will befit only whenchildren earn them by their own effots and toil, and share them with others. It is inevitableduty, without expcting any recompence, of parents to rear them and raise them to be fit forcouncils of the wise. Children on their part can do a little help, by self efforts and cultivatingtalents and character, earn praise of society, and add that as a wealth of tradition to familiesand parents. What we see in modern society is sadly far from the basic culture taught bytradition and literature.
