Perupadhesam - some insights - equations - interpretations 

Though , I've read this many times in the past, I was struck with some meanings and points when I read it recently, which is what this article is all about

Perupadhesam is all about the experiences of Atman and his invitation to that great level giving guidances thru this great sermon

1.  Vallalar says at 2 instants - " few days ( 10 days ) to go to Salai " . We should not take the literal meaning of 10 days here , he refers salai to soul/atman & 10 is the conjunction of 8 & 2 

Hence he is asking us to unite 8& 2 to reach salai - atman level

 

2.  Vallal peruman refers " siddhi valagam " as the place which will give in return, the helps/services rendered by all relatives ,  crores and crores of times - such is the power of this place swearing in the name of APJ

Proof  : this point can very well be proved by a small incident in the epic Mahabharatham.

Once , Lord Krishna's  finger got cut and his finger was bleeding. Draupathi ( Panchali ) astonished on seeing it, immediately, tore her saree and did first aid to his finger.

Lord Krishna replied to her : "A day will come, when I will return for this help rendered - crores and crores of time Panchali " 

The rest of the story whole world knows = saree grew infinitely when she was humiliated in front of eveyone for the defeat of Pandavas in dais game with Kauravas

Here, Lord Krishna = Atman

Draupadi = Jeevan

Hence it can be infered that " Siddhi Valagam " means the realms of Atman/soul level and soul is always at our disposal to render help/serve , but  , we are not responding to it - as we are always  oriented towards 

OUTSIDE- EXTERNAL - WORLD - PHYSICAL , but not INTERNAL - SUBTLE ( SOUL )

Thats what Jesus says " Turn inside - for the kingdom of God is near "

 

3.  Vallalar says that " APJ Andavar , Kandamaga therivippaar - pinnar AKandamaga therivippaar "

Here,  Kandamaga means - APJ will reveal secrets in bits and pieces and fragments to a qualified sadhakan , further getting qualified and RIGHT ( Urimai ) , APJ will reveal secrets in FULL ( Akandamaga )

Here, the word Kandam meant bits and fragments and parts - the same meaning will hold good at the place where swami says " Uyir that is in Kandam will die and that is on the head will not die "

Hence , it can be infered that Jeevan is in the place which is in " parts " not as FULL

Vallalar does not say the location of the Jeevan directly - he says indirectly and asks us to identify and locate 

 

4.  Swami says meanings of Dhayavu ( Daeiou) , Karunai and Arul are all same and One

Meanings of the above taken by the world are : mercy , humanity - but swami refers only to ATMAN/Soul here

This is same as swami not telling directly the meaning of soul - saying indirectly like the location of Uyir - jeevan

Great saints dont reveal great and big matters DIRECTLY - it is told INDIRECTLY so that qualified and deserving alone shall get to know of it 

 

Hence , it is reiterated that sermon "Perubadhesam " is all about  the experiences of Soul - ATMAN and the invitation by vallal peruman to rise to the Atman level from Jeevan level to get immortal life

 

 

Swami, in another instant ( Thiruarul Meimmozhi )  asks us not to have , even an iota of thought/ wish on

1.  Mannasai ( wish for Land - longevity )

2.  Ponnasai ( wish for Wealth )

3.  Pennasai ( wish for  Women - lust - sex )

Who doesnot have any of these alone will be qualified to become a sanmargi 

In reality, this is highly impossible and ruled out in any  situation , because , we are in ordinary jeevan state which , like a pig rolls in gutters, slurry , filth etc

Hence , all will have all the above three in diff proportions 

 

On the contrary, if we rise from jeevan state to Atman state, we'll not have any of the three desires and its quite sure even an iota of it - because Atman is desireless 

 

Hence, swami is asking us to " Metamorphise from Jeevan to Atman " which is what whole of Arutpa is saying as first step and the second step is " Metamorphosis of Atman to APJ "  , which completes the journey of soul/psyche ( jeevan )
