Explanation to this is dealt in detail in the stanza number 32 of  Meykanda sastra Unmai vilakkam written by 

St Manivaachakam Kadantaan disciple of St Meykandar.

According to tamil numericals the letter A represents number 8.

and lette r VU represents number 2.

Syllable OM is made up of three letters AUM.

The tamil letter YA is made up of eight(a) and two(vu).

The soul is referred to in this way in the Tamil scriptures.

Soul is microcosm is essentially the same as macrocosm.

The lord dances in the macrocosm as well as microcosm.
