Enjoy Diwali without Cruelty.!
Greetings from SCAN FOUNDATION.
A veggie happy, animal-friendly Diwali.!
Diwali - a festive season of eating, drinking, spending and merriment. The streets come alive with twinkling lights, fireworks ,the shops deck their windows with dazzling displays and seasonal spirit and festive cheer fill the air.
At the one time of year when most people are determined to be happy, raising the issue of animal cruelty can make you look like a killjoy. But the truth is that for millions of animals, Diwali celebrations are the cause of considerable cruelty.
Slaughtered and eaten; given away as presents like disposable toys; and forced to perform silly tricks for the sake of entertainment - these are just a few of the ways in which animals suffer for our seasonal pleasure.
With a little thought and action however, you can make sure your choices have not caused harm to animals. And celebrate a "Compassionate Diwali ".
Fireworks are not animal-friendly. It Threaten Animals. This Diwali say NO to noise fireworks. Happy Diwali!
For animal rights,
Jerold
