எல்லோருக்கும் வணக்கம்,

மொழிபெயர்ப்புக்கு நான் பெயர் கொடுக்கவில்லை. இருந்தாலும் செய்து பார்க்க ஆசைப்பட்டேன். அதன் விளைவை கீழே காண்க. சிலவற்றை நேரடியாகவும் சிலவற்றை கவித்துவமாகவும் சொல்லியிருக்கிறேன். பிழை இருந்தால் பொறுத்தருளுக.

1.A teacher takes responsibility of your growth

  A Guru makes you responsible for your growth

 ஆசான் : உன் வளர்ச்சிக்கு நான் பொறுப்பு.

 குரு : உன் வளர்ச்சிக்கு நீயே பொறுப்பு.

A teacher gives you things you do not have and require

A Guru takes away things you have and do not require.

ஆசான் : உனக்கு எது வேண்டும் , அது எனக்குத் தெரியும்.

குரு : உனக்கு எது வேண்டாம், அதான் எனக்குத் தெரியும்.

A teacher answers your questions

A Guru questions your answers 

ஆசான் : உனக்கு கேள்வி உண்டா ? எனக்கு பதில் தெரியும்.

குரு : உனக்கு பதில் தெரியுமா, எனக்கு கேள்வி உண்டு.

A teacher helps you get out of the maze 

A Guru destroys the maze 

ஆசான் : சிக்கல் வரும், வழி சொல்கிறேன்.

குரு :  சிக்கல் வேண்டாம், வழி சொல்கிறேன்.

A teacher requires obedience and discipline from the pupil 

A Guru requires trust and humility from the pupil 

ஆசான் : எனக்குத் தேவை உன் பணிதலும் ஒழுக்கமும்.

குரு : எனக்குத் தேவை உன் நம்பிக்கையும் அடக்கமும்.

A teacher clothes you and prepares you for the outer journey 

A Guru strips you naked and prepares you for the inner journey 

ஆசான் : வெளியில் போகிறாயா, இந்தா சட்டை உடுத்திக் கொள்.

குரு : குளிக்கப் போகிறாயா எதற்கு சட்டை ?

A teacher is a guide on the path 

A Guru is a pointer to the way 

ஆசான் : இதான் வழி வா போகலாம்.

குரு : இதான் வழி போ.

A teacher sends you on the road to success 

A Guru sends you on the road to freedom

ஆசான் : கண்டபடி மேயாதே, இந்தா கடிவாளம்.

குரு : கடிவாளம் எதற்கு, மேய் கண்டபடி.

A teacher explains the world and its nature to you 

A Guru explains yourself and your nature to you 

ஆசான் : வெளியில் வா உலகம் தெரியும்.

குரு : உள்ளே பார் உலகம் புரியும்.

A teacher makes you understand how to move about in the world 

A Guru shows you where you stand in relation to the world 

ஆசான் : உலகத்தோடு சம்பந்தப்படுத்திக் கொள்ள வேண்டுமா, நான் கற்றுத் தருகிறேன்.

குரு : உனக்கும் உலகத்துக்கும் என்ன சம்பந்தம், நான் சொல்கிறேன்.

A teacher gives you knowledge and boosts your ego 

A Guru takes away your knowledge and punctures,your ego 

ஆசான் : தலை லேசாக இருக்கிறதா, கனமாக்குகிறேன்.

குரு : தலை கனமாக இருக்கிறதா, லேசாக்குகிறேன்.

A teacher instructs you 

A Guru constructs you

ஆசான் : நான் உன்னைப் புதுக்குவேன்.

குரு : நான் உன்னைச் செதுக்குவேன்.

A teacher sharpens your mind 

A Guru opens your mind 

ஆசான் : உன் மனதைக் கொண்டு வா, ஆயுதம் செய்வோம்.

குரு : உன் மனதைக் கொண்டு வா, ஆலயம் செய்வோம்.

A teacher shows you the way to prosperity 

A Guru shows the way to serenity 

ஆசான் : உனக்கு பொருள் சம்பாதிக்க வேண்டுமா என்னிடம் வா.

குரு : உனக்கு அருள் சம்பாதிக்க வேண்டுமா என்னிடம் வா.

A teacher reaches your mind 

A Guru touches your soul 

ஆசான் : என் எல்லை உன் மனம்.

குரு : என் எல்லை உன் ஜீவன்.

A teacher gives you knowledge 

A Guru makes you wise 

ஆசான் : என்னிடம் வா அறிவு கிடைக்கும்.

குரு : என்னிடம் வா ஞானம் கிடைக்கும்.

A teacher gives you maturity 

A Guru returns you to innocence 

ஆசான் : என்னிடம் வா உன்னை அறிஞன் ஆக்குகிறேன்.

குரு : என்னிடம் வா உன்னை குழந்தை ஆக்குகிறேன்.

A teacher instructs you on how to solve  problems 

A Guru shows you how to resolve issues 

ஆசான் : பிரச்சினையா, தீர்த்து வைக்கிறேன்.

குரு : பிரச்சினையா, தீர்வு சொல்கிறேன்.

A teacher is a systematic thinker 

A Guru is a lateral thinker 

ஆசான் : நான் ஒருமுகச் சிந்தனையாளன்.

குரு : நான் பன்முகச் சிந்தனையாளன்.

20.

A teacher will punish you with a stick 

A Guru will punish you with compassion 

ஆசான் :  நான் பிரம்பால் அடிப்பேன்.

குரு : நான் அன்பால் அடிப்பேன்.

21.

A teacher is to pupil what a father is to son 

A Guru is to pupil what mother is to her child 

ஆசான் : நான் உனக்கு அறிவைத் தருவேன், அப்பாவைப் போல.

குரு : நான் உனக்கு அன்பைத் தருவேன், அம்மாவைப் போல.

One can always find a teacher 

But a Guru has to find and accept you 

ஆசான் : நீ என்னைக் கண்டறியலாம், அது கடினமல்ல.

குரு : நான் தான் உன்னைக் கண்டறிவேன் அது சுலபமல்ல.

A teacher leads you by the hand 

A Guru leads you by example 

ஆசான் : நான் சொல்லித் தருவேன்.

குரு : நான் வாழ்ந்து காட்டுவேன்.

When a teacher finishes with you, you graduate 

When a Guru finishes with you, you celebrate  

ஆசான் : என்னை விட்டு விடை பெறுகையில் பட்டம் பெறுவாய்.

குரு : என்னை விட்டு விடை பெறுகையில் பட்டம் ஆவாய்.

25.

When the course is over you are thankful to the teacher 

When the discourse is over you are grateful to the Guru.

ஆசான் :  என்னிடம் கற்ற பின் நன்றி சொல்வாய்.

குரு :  என்னிடம் கற்ற பின் நன்றி கொள்வாய்.
