You have asked about soul knowledge.
Ther are two things.one is individual soul and another is godly soul.
Once the individual realise the god soul it feels the unbounded happiness,unlimitted knowledge and feels ever presence without time.This state will be there till death or samadhi.
But vallal peruman do not want to lose this state and he wanted the body should remain with him so that he can enjoy the state always.For this he asked god what to do.God replied see the oneess with all the beings irrespective of any difference and activate Daeiou within you to feel their sorrows.Vallal peruman by birth itself has this habit ans so he immediately got grace from lord Arutperunjothi and became immortal.

In English : What is "Soul Knowledge"? .. How can I get this "Soul Knowledge"?
In Tamil : "ஆன்ம அறிவு" என்பது என்ன ?
