There is no basis in Arutpa for initiation by eye by any human being to another. Such an initiation is done only by spiritual masters who have risen above human passions to deserving followers who have undergone the rigorous practices required for complete elimination of desires.
Kindly remember the guru does not set up ashram or sangam to do this . He or she does not advertise or promote this and it is not done one mass scale. No money is given or received.
I came across two books authored by a person claiming to do this theetchai using the name of Vallalar.
He has given wrong meanings and misleading interpretations to many Arutpa songs. For example the word akkamani in Tamil refers to rudraksham in Sanskrit and it is used only in this meaning in Arutpa. However the author has used a series of songs having this word as basis for his eye theetchai and his photograph appears in the book. This amounts to self-promotion by knowingly misleading people.
Persons who misuse Vallalar's name for personal gains are not spiritually motivated.
