[vallalargroups:962] Soul Avasthas or experiences

Blessed Immortal Soul,

 

The Soul undergoes many avasthas or states of existence before attaining grace.

 

Three elementary Avasthas may be noticed here.

 

1.KEVALAM or lonely state when it is in an underdeveloped condition enshrounded in Anavamalam(ego ?)

 

2.SAKALAM or bodily state where it is provided with bodies, organs, worlds and objects of enjoyment.

 

3.SUDHAM  or Purified state.

 

Now let us have the following slightly expanded definitions of these SOUL avasthas or stages of existence.

 

1.SOUL IN KEVALA STATE

 

Non-intelligent, bodiless, imperishable, not possessed with even the innermost of the internal organs, actionless, desireless, not a self

agent, not possessed of the appetite of enjoyment, united to and co-existed with Ananvamalam such is the state of soul

in Kevala state of existence.

 

2.SOUL IN SAKALAM STATE

 

Endowed with a body and internal and external organs and the faculties of desire, knowlege and action, possessed

with the appetite or lust for enjoyment, subjects to births and deaths, in localized pervasiveness of Maya such is the

state of soul in Sakalam state of existence.

 

3. SUDHAM STATE

 

When the stage of seeing good and evil equally is reached the Lords Grace descends on soul, then Soul(Pasu) gets

the Guru's blessings, practices Gnana Sadhana, gets rid of the three malas and of its localized knowledge, becomes

 omniscient and reaches the Feet of Lors. This is deathlessness as the soul is not eborn again.
