Dear Sanmarga anbars,
By Vallalar's Grace, I contacted two members for the translation work from coimbatore itself. It is a thrilling experience for me at that moment.
The first person is Mr.J.Narayanaswami, aged about 70,who was my colleague in fifties. He spent most of his lifetime in Indonesia and now settled in Coimbatore. He lost his wife only two weeks back. alone He is here now. His one daughter and one son are settled in USA.
He has translated THIRUKKURAL IN English and got printed. I think now it is third or fourth edition. Besides it seems he got that translated in some other languages also. I am yet to get details.
During my telephonic talk I mentioned about this Thiruarutpa translation work. I am happy he immediately responded and expressed to do as a team.
Also he gave me one more contact. He is Prof. Ramani, Eng.prof. and HOD of Eng. Dept of our PSG college. He is also known to me for the last 30 years. I just spoke to him about Vallalar space and Thiru Arutpa translation work. He also said we could take it up.
Now presently he is involved in the translation of all articles and speeches of our Chief Minister Kalaingar. This will go on upto April, 2009. Also he is to retire by that time. So he is glad to participate in this project. He is now the consultant and chief for this work and has a team of 12 profs. and Eng. Ex perts with him. He said we can utilize them also for our Peruman's project. He is already doing Eteaching for English.
I am extrememly happy to get these contacts to render service to our peruman.
They will be contacting me soon. I will let you know in detail their views and terms.
This is a very good take off for your efforts.
