AswaMetha Yagna  

This is believed to be the greatest of all yagnas  performed.

 

It is believed that if one should be greatly qualified to perform this yagna . 

 

If a king performs this , he becomes " King of Kings - Maharaj - Chakravarthy "

 

Pandavas performed this yagna after their victory over Kauravas in the epic Mahabharatha war to get encrowned as Chakravarthy

 

A decorated horse ( Aswa ) is sent to all the regions of country carrying a message of this yagna and all other kings should accept him as their ruler - Maharaj - by this all small regions get integrated into ONE BIG Country / Nation

 

This gives security to all smaller regional players/rulers from the invasion of foreign nationals/big regions - small fish being eaten by whales and sharks 

 

On the contrary , this yagna has a great esoteric meaning inside,  if one delves deep into it.

 

Esoteric meaning of Yagna  :

Aswa ( Horse )  represents - breath - Apana and   Metha , Sushumna  Nadi , a central nerve channel travelling between two nerves of nostrils which always remain dormant for normal unconscious persons and highly activated for Awakened persons and Yogic saints and Siddhar saints 

 

So,  AswaMetha yagna means pulling Apana breath across the Metha nerve channel and activate it and open the gateway to the kingdom of Heaven/ God

 

Performing this great feat, one brings whole body under his control / control of Atman - SOUL

Indirectly it means the control is changed from mind to SOUL - by former rule , one finally goes to grave , and by the latter , one goes to immortal Kingdom of God and gets deathless body and immortal life

 

Many of our great contemporary yoga masters have failed in this arduous task and  succumbed to death  because , it doesnot manifest so easily and very difficult to achieve

 

For this great task gives one deathless  life and body  and immortal life - makes ones body kayakalpa 

 

The technique of manifesting it in reality is kept highly secretive and disclosed only  ONE to ONE - Master to a disciple who is highly qualified and deserving and CHOSEN ONE

But, frankly speaking , this is available in internet, but only who is doing the correct practice, can identify where it is mentioned 

 

There are many symptoms to identify the breath travelling across the central channel - amongst them a few are given below

1.  Intoxication 

2.  Hearing of mystic sounds - nadhams

3.  Chillness - pool of coolness in the body

4.  Lightness of body

1 epic :  horse                              

  

  Esoteric meaning : breath - apana vayu 

 

2.  Epic: Metha                              

  

    Esoteric meaning : central nadi channel

 

3  Epic : Pandavas                           

   

   Esoteric meaning : Atman - represented by natural elements/senses                                 

 

4.  Epic - Country               

    Esoteric meaning - Dheham - body

 

5.   Epic  : Small rulers                     

    

    Esoteric meaning : organs inside the body

 

6.  Epic : Horse travelling thru out the nation                  

   

  E meaning : integration of whole body by breath and Atman takes the command from mind and becoming the master  and body ( organs ) his servants and obeying to his command

Eso meaning - Atman crowning as Master of the Human body

           

Big theme crafted in the form of stories for all including layman to understand  , whereas the  ground reality is , it remains as stories forever and the real objective of making it into stories is not realised

 

This is the only way available to make our body obey to our command and make our servants and thus bring 36/96 principles under our control
