Kundalini - its activation

Much  hype is created on this yoga by the world though it is not warranted.          

As specialisation in degree courses  are available,  so is that, specialisation in Yoga - is the Kundalini yoga. Such is the height of hype .

Present beliefs - location and activation :

Many spiritual masters , even to our contemporary times have identifed and informed the world that the location of kundalini in our human body as " the base of spine "

The method of activating it is through the breathing practice and certain asanas and  mudras and make it ascend thru every chakra till Ajna 

Some of the masters have gone to the extent of simplifying this great yoga as though it is a mathematical problem reducing some 5/10 steps and making it simple  so that its easy for everyone to practice terming it SKY - Simplified Kundalini Yoga 

Kundalini has to be acsended thru six chakras and after the practice is over, to be descended down and kept in its location at the base of the spine. 

Reality - location and activation

 In the epic mahabharatham, Lord krishna , wakes up a sleeping snake inside the river  "Yamuna " ,  brings it to top of the river and plays a dance on top of its hood 

Whole world adores that dance as Kalinga dance and paintings also available

That snake Kalinga is Kundalini

Tamil letter Yamunai to be split as Ya+ munai which will mean Suzhumunai - the tip of the central nadi channel where soul is located

 

Hence it can be infered that kundalini is inside the river yamuna which means  the soul level ( letter Ya in tamil mean 10 and atman - soul )

Vallalar says as " Enathu kulathinum nirambia guru sivapathiye " - here kulam ( forehead - netri ) meaning lake  and also it means a water body same as  river yamuna also a water body

Hence, Kundalini is in the forehead , not at the base of the spine as the whole world is thinking and spiritual masters have been passing on this message down the ages

Kundalini activation can happen thru a technique called  " chalana thanthiram  " which has to be learnt from  a competent guru without which, kundalini can never be activated

Also , without the help of the sacred feet of the lord, kundalini cant be activated

No ascending and descending of it - it is stationary and dormant at a single point blocking our entry into the cosmic space 

Physical and external manifestation of kundalinis location on this earth is - Alapuzha in kerala 

Alam - means poison - tip of the snakes mouth 

Puzha - means - aperture - minute tip of the hole ( Brahmapuzha  ) 

It can be zeroed that kundalini is closing the tip of the suzhumunai with its poisonous mouth 

Second place for external manifestation of kundalini is : Madurai - 12 th  level of consciousness - thwathasaantham 

In one of the 64 divine plays that took place at Madurai, one of them indicates that a snake is around  the outskirts of the city to mark the borders, which  is nothing but kundalini. 

Sadhaka , on reaching kundalinis location , awakens it , keeps it aside off his way  and makes his way to the cosmic space and marches ahead. 

This is the small role , kundalini plays in our yoga system , be whatever the yoga we do or follow
