"GLORY OF HIS FEET DIVINE"
(Thiruvadi Perumai)
Dear seekers of Truth,
Vallalar has declared that the experience of the soul is the natural truth resulting in excellence of life. The experience of the soul ought to be ultimate quest of the devotees of Vallalar. In order to understand the philosophy of Vallalar, it is not obligatory on our part even to have an atom of experience as to what the Saint says. But it is mandatory that we ought to have an atom of faith in what he says as his experience if we are to walk close on the heels of Saint Vallalar who still strives to lead us on a path paved by him for us in absolute compassion to become aware of the Divine Feet in all its glory.
In the beginning, the composite collection was named as
"Bliss beyond any Measure"
and then, as
"Garland of Philosophy"
and now, as
"Glory of His Feet Divine"
The composition as such comprises of 45 songs which contain the universal essence. The method of cosmic creation explained in these songs is still unknown to the scientists of today. Therefore, Vallalar is to be regarded as the supreme scientist. This aspect is being dealt with very elaborately in the forthcoming research paper "Grand Unification Theory".
The process of translation adopted herein is different from the much trodden path of translation in freedom and verbatim. By his grace, we have become fortunate and we are permitted access to see from a distance his thought form which is at the height of illumination displayed in a flaming rapturous union with the Almighty unalloyed by any linguistic limitation. From the essence of such thoughtful rapture, these lines within the limited capacity of an insignificant mind are drawn by his grace somehow to match the mount of ascension attained by the Saint. The devotees are at liberty to fill up the crevices in the flow wherever occurs in this translation with your thoughts sprouting at the moment to substitute the rendering more meaningful and creative to experience the craving of the soul to grasp HIS FEET with the guidance presented in the guise of the wonderful lines of illumination of Saint Ramalinga Vallalar.
It is proposed to release every week some songs:
Song No.1
Dancing in the golden council, graceful, prime of Supreme,
Monarch of the pantheon blessed me with a garland divine
Being the form, becoming the formless, all the light and space
Excelling in all, has become the mate of my soul, of His own
Truthfulness, a grain of His grandeur could ever be assessed
All of Vedas praising the sole of Him are to shrink if to praise
On my part without any effort blessed I was, how to express
How bliss immeasurable springs beyond words, oh my maid.
Song no.2.
Graceful ever by his wonderful act in the golden common
His blissful stature, I am too insignificant within his kingdom
From my state of ignorance, He salvaged and married me
His majesty, whether anyone else could recite His greatness
Testaments of higher degrees, the great Vedas altogether
Mortally are afraid, oh maid, as of my mind's measure now
I'm to attain illumination, to tell simply very few on that day
What to perform to make these imprinted within, oh my maid.
Song no.3.
Whether He is the mount of coral red, or the light of ruby,
Intense effulgent special spark or quantum red aggregated
Reclining horizontal with his consort in the lotus, Brahma
Siva and five of elements and others who too stand beyond
Extolling His form wonder as to what of His physical state,
Themselves if so to aver, His subtle state who to comment
Transmuting into Him, He married me on that day, of golden
Council, its master, how to declare His glory, oh my maid
Song no.4,
Whether the gods, adepts, the accomplished while living
Leaders of the aspirants, those having beheld the essence
Persons of trinity or of the six, the potential of the primordial,
Our presiding husband's state of reality by those realized
None of them competent, how I could realize and proclaim
Whether feasible, see it, not even to the remotest possibility
Dancing in the golden council before the prayerful devotees
His own glory by any means He only knows, oh my maid.
Translation to be continued…
