I do not know the exact reason but my assumption is

 

1. Dog is the only animal which eats the food regurgitated by itself.Regurgitated food that has come out though vomit is rejected by our body but dog's mind still likess and eat that vomitted food.Like that human beings are

interested in unwanted things.

 

2.When dog chews the bone, bone creates a wound in the dog's mouth and blood oozes.Dog out of ignorance thinks that the blood is from the bone and relishes it.Human beings ignorance ARIYAMAI is compared to dog chewing the bone.

 

Anybody can throw further light on this.
