I totally agree with the explanation given by Mr.Raja.

 

Let us see what Saivasidhantha philosophy says.

 

Sivagnanabodham of Saint Meikandadevar clearly discusses this arul in verse numbers 10 and 11 under two headings.

 

1.SIVA YOGAM-- Action without attachment and disappearance of pasam.

10 th sutra says:

 

"Identify yourself with God. If you so identify yourself even as God identified Himself with

you(Advaitha relation).He will father all your actions."

 

"Dedicate all you actions to Him. If you do so (doing ur duty without attachment) God will act

as joint or substitute recipient of everything that others do unto you and retribute them adding the effects of ur bodily actions, good and bad to theirs."

 

" When you do actions without like and dislike that is without selfish motive all impurities(remnants of Aanavam, Karmam and Maya) will then vanish."

 

2. SHIVA-BHOGAM--- Manifestation of Divine Grace

 

11th sutra reads as follows

 

"When the Soul is so purified that is in Sudha state, God leads and imparts pathi knowledge and then the soul enjoys the bliss state as the eye to see."

 

"Unceasing knowledge(realization) of such gracious action of the Lord as above generates undying love(anbu) which leads the soul to the experience of endless Supreme bliss described as Sivas lotus like feet"

 

Even Adi Sankara in one of his poems says

 

Good company brings detachment from bad

detachment leads to a state of dispassion( viruppum veruppum illa nilai)

dispassion brings silence( summa irukkum nilai)

silence leads to Jeevanmukhthi

Hi anna,

 

                Answering to the below question. I am mentioning only a few points.

 

What are the WAYS to get GOD'S grace?

 

1.       Expect not the grace of HIM. If you do something to get the grace of God, you will not, it will increase the ego as you will say 'I did this, I did that.'

2.       Whatever you do it is because of HIM, forget not. Grace flows towards you.

3.       Forget not, the grace is already there.

4.       Do everything with surrender, and do not expect for the outcome. In short be a karma yogi.
